Complainant Name:
Ms Philippa Buckley

Clauses Noted: 3, 4

Publication: Sunday Mirror

Ms Philippa Buckley complained to the Press Complaints Commission about the conduct of the newspaper's reporter, conduct which she had found intimidating and upsetting, in breach of Clauses 3 (Privacy) and 4 (Harassment) of the Editors' Code of Practice.

A case of mistaken identity had led to the newspaper's reporter attending the complainant's address.

While the newspaper did not accept a breach of the Code, the complaint was resolved when the PCC negotiated a personal letter of apology from the newspaper to the complainant for contacting her in error.
