Ms Tailia Santo

Clauses Noted: 1, 6

Publication: The Sun

Ms Tailia Santo complained to the Press Complaints Commission about an article which, in her view, breached Clauses 1 (Accuracy) and 6 (Children) of the Editors' Code of Practice.

The complainant said that, contrary to the impression created by the article, she did not consider herself to be attractive. The complainant also said that the publication of her son's name had led to his experiencing difficulty at school.

The complaint was resolved when the PCC negotiated the removal of both the original, and a follow-up article, from the newspaper's website.
