Joe Cooke complained to the Press Complaints Commission about an article, which appeared online only, that he considered to have breached Clause 1 (Accuracy) of the Editors' Code of Practice. The article had inaccurately reported that the complainant had arrived at an event at Oxford University in a Rolls Royce, wearing a silver suit, and carrying a silver-topped cane.

The complaint was resolved following the removal of the online article.
