A woman

Clauses Noted: 9

Publication: Daily Mail

A woman complained, via her solicitor, to the Press Complaints Commission that the newspaper had identified her in a context which raised a breach of Clause 9 (Reporting of crime) of the Editors' Code of Practice.

The complaint was resolved when the PCC negotiated the removal of the online article and the newspaper confirmed it had no intention of republishing the information. It marked the cuttings archive and circulated an internal warning to this end.
