The parents of a child

Clauses Noted: 3

Publication: The Scottish Sun

The parents of a child attending a school in Scotland complained - through the headmaster of the school - to the Press Complaints Commission that the newspaper had published an article containing information that represented an intrusion into their child's private life in breach of Clause 3 (Privacy) of the Editors' Code of Practice.

The complaint was resolved when the newspaper arranged for the permanent removal of the online article and provided a written assurance for future publication.
