Complainant Name:
Ms Kate Fawcett

Clauses Noted: 1, 10

Publication: The Sun

Ms Kate Fawcett complained to the Press Complaints Commission on behalf of her son, Guy Sheridan, under the terms of Clauses 1 (Accuracy) and 10 (Clandestine devices and subterfuge) of the Editors' Code of Practice.

The complainant alleged that a photograph of her son - which was included in the article - had been taken after a reporter misrepresented herself.

While the newspaper did not accept the complainant's version of events, the complaint was resolved when the PCC was able to negotiate the removal of the online article.
