Clauses Noted: 1

Publication: Men's Health

Mr David Shephard complained to the Press Complaints Commission under Clause 1 (Accuracy) of the Editors' Code of Practice about an article which reviewed a neuro-linguistic programming therapy session he had delivered to the magazine's reviewer. The complainant expressed concern that the author of the review had criticised the therapy for failing to remedy his problems with anger, contending that no anger issues were mentioned in the course of the session. The complainant was also concerned that the article misled readers as to the cost of the treatment.

While the magazine did not accept any breach of the Editors' Code, the matter was resolved when it gave an undertaking not to republish the article in any of its printed or online publications, or to syndicate it to any international edition.
