Complainant Name:
A woman

Clauses Noted: 1, 3, 6

Publication: Daily Mirror

A woman complained to the Press Complaints Commission under Clause 1 (Accuracy), Clause 3 (Privacy) and Clause 6 (Children) of the Editors' Code of Practice about an article which reported on the actions of a father involved in a custody dispute. The complainant was concerned that the article had named and included a photograph of her son, who was the subject of the dispute. The complainant said that the article had unnecessarily intruded into her son's time at school.

The matter was resolved when the newspaper provided an undertaking that it would not in any future story concerning the boy's father use either the complainant's son's name or image without the complainant's consent.
