Ms Beverley Clark complained to the Press Complaints Commission about an article which she considered to have been inaccurate and misleading in breach of Clause 1 (Accuracy) of the Editors' Code of Practice.

The article was about a report which stated that ‘five nurseries [had been] highlighted as the worst performing in Scotland', including the All Stars Nursery in Aberdeen which the complainant had once managed.

The complainant believed that it was not clear from the article that she had resigned from her position at the nursery before the period covered by the report.

The complaint was resolved when the PCC negotiated the publication of the following clarification:

In the May 12 issue of The Sunday Post we carried an article about a Care Inspectorate report on the All Stars Nursery in Aberdeen. We are happy to point out that Beverley Clark was not the manager of the nursery at that time.
