Miss Julieta Molina complained to the Press Complaints Commission that the newspaper had inaccurately reported that Phillip Goodeve-Docker had frozen to death when temperatures fell to -20C; the temperature had actually been -70C.

The complaint was resolved when the PCC negotiated the correction of the online articles and the publication of the following correction in the newspaper:

"In a report of the inquest into the death of Phil Goodeve-Docker (20 Aug), we referred to temperatures in the arctic falling to -20C. In fact, the coroner heard that during the storm in which he and his expedition team were caught, temperatures fell as low as -60-70C including the wind chill factor."
