Complainant Name:
A man

Clauses Noted: 6

Publication: Daventry Express

A man complained to the Press Complaints Commission that the newspaper had published his young daughter's name and address in breach of Clause 6 (Children) of the Editors' Code of Practice. Her details had appeared in a column which marked the birthdays of children who were members of the Birthday Club.

The newspaper said another family member had signed the child up to the club some years before. The complaint was resolved when the newspaper undertook not to publish the child's name and address again in the column.
