Ms Jane Hamilton, acting on behalf of Netmums, complained to the Press Complaints Commission that the newspaper had published an article that inaccurately alleged that Netmums had censored readers' comments, in breach of Clause 1 (Accuracy) of the Editors' Code of Practice. The complainant said Netmums did not engage in censorship or make readers' comments "disappear".

Although the newspaper considered that Netmums' position was made clear in the article and did not consider that the Code had been breached, the complaint was resolved when the PCC negotiated the removal of the article from the newspaper's website and external databases.
