A woman

Clauses Noted: 1

Publication: Daily Mail

A woman complained to the Press Complaints Commission that the newspaper had published an inaccurate report on the death of an elderly woman at a hospital in breach of Clause 1 (Accuracy) of the Editors' Code of Practice. The complainant expressed concern that the piece had given the significantly misleading impression that she, a nurse at the hospital, had been responsible for the woman's death.

The complaint was resolved when the PCC negotiated the removal of the article from the newspaper's website.
