Complaint:

Mr Ed Cooper complained to the Press Complaints Commission, under Clause 1 (Accuracy) of the Editors' Code of Practice, that an article about the search for the missing Malaysian Airlines flight MH370 had given the misleading impression that GeoResonance had claimed to have found the aircraft.

Resolution:

The complaint was resolved when the PCC negotiated amendments to the online headline and for the following wording to be appended to the online article:

An earlier version of this article stated that GeoResonance had claimed to have found MH370. In fact, the company made clear that while they recommended the wreckage should be investigated, they were not declaring it are happy to clarify this. to be MH370. We are happy to clarify this.
