Publication: Edinburgh Evening News

A parent complained to the Press Complaints Commission that the newspaper had breached Clause 3 (Privacy) and Clause 6 (Children) of the Editors' Code. The article included a photograph of the complainant's daughter, along with a photograph of a letter she had written that included the full address of the family home.

The complaint was resolved when the PCC negotiated a letter of apology from the newspaper to the family and after the newspaper, as a gesture of good will, made a charitable donation.
