A man complained to the Press Complaints Commission that the newspaper had published a photograph of him and identified him, without his consent, in a story that related to his private life in breach of Clause 3 (Privacy) of the Editors' Code of Practice.

The complaint was resolved when the PCC negotiated the removal of the complainant's name and photograph from the article, and the newspaper wrote to the complainant explaining that it had had no intention of causing him distress.
