Complaint:

This complaint was originally made to the PCC. As the PCC closed on 8 September the complaint was resolved by the Independent Press Standards Organisation (IPSO) under PCC procedures. IPSO is the new independent regulator of the newspaper and magazine industry.


Dr Hans Lawrence complained to the Press Complaints Commission that the newspaper had breached Clause 1 (Accuracy) of the Editors' Code of Practice in an article about his suspension from his job. He said that the article contained a number of inaccuracies.

Resolution:

The complaint was resolved when the PCC negotiated the removal of the article from the newspaper's website.
