Ms Lindsay Caulfield complained to the Press Complaints Commission that the newspaper had breached Clause 1 (Accuracy) of the Editors' Code of Practice in an article about members of "alternative religions" serving in the armed forces. The complainant said that it was inaccurate to say that the admission of members of these religions was a new development, as the armed forces had never rejected specific religious groups.

The complaint was resolved when the PCC negotiated the following correction, both in print and online:

"Following our article of June 8 about witches, pagans and druids being allowed to join the armed forces, we would like to make clear that practitioners of alternative religions have been allowed in the armed forces for a number of years."
