Complainant Name:
Mr Andrew Ritchie

Clauses Noted: 1, 3

Publication: Daily Record

Mr Andrew Ritchie complained to the Press Complaints Commission that the newspaper had breached Clause 1 (Accuracy) and Clause 3 (Privacy) of the Editors' Code of Practice. He said that it had inaccurately reported that he had suffered a heart attack in the cabin of his crane whilst he was 100ft in the air, and also complained that it had published his age and address.

The complaint was resolved when the newspaper published an apology and correction both online and in print.
