Complaint:

This complaint was originally made to the PCC. As the PCC closed on 8 September the complaint was resolved by the Independent Press Standards Organisation (IPSO) under PCC procedures. IPSO is the new independent regulator of the newspaper and magazine industry.

Mr Mark Stedman complained to the Press Complaints Commission, under Clause 1 (Accuracy) of the Editors' Code of Practice, that an article had contained inaccuracies, including that he had been banned from his front line duties as a paramedic.

Resolution:

The complaint was resolved when the newspaper made amendments to the online article and provided a private letter of apology to the complainant.
