Industry publicity of the pcc

Like any self-regulatory body, part of the PCC's success is dependent on the support it receives from the industry. To this end, the PCC is very keen to encourage newspapers and magazines to help to publicise its work, either through the publication of a pre-prepared advert, or by publishing the PCC's contact details. In this way, readers can be made aware that the publication abides by standards of the Editors' Code of Practice, and know where to turn if problems arise.

The adverts can be downloaded here and are ready to be used immediately.

For use in newspapers or magazines:

2 column colour version (72mm)

2 column greyscale version (72mm)

3 column colour version (111mm)

3 column greyscale version (111mm)

4 column colour version (149mm)

4 column greyscale version (149mm)

These adverts are also available to download from a dedicated ftp site: http://87.236.134.21:8000/Login Please contact Catherine Speller (catherine.speller@pcc.org.uk) or Tonia Milton (tonia.milton@pcc.org.uk) for the log in details.

The Commission's remit extends to cover newspapers' and magazines' online presence as well. It is important, therefore, that publications take the same steps to raise awareness of the PCC on their websites that they take in their print editions.

For use on-line - there are three designs in total, each comprising two separate texts. One refers to inaccuracy and intrusion, the other to potential cases of harassment:
