Industry publicity of the pcc

Like any self-regulatory body, part of the PCC's success is dependent on the support it receives from the industry. To this end, the PCC is very keen to encourage newspapers and magazines to help to publicise its work, either through the publication of a pre-prepared advert, or by publishing the PCC's contact details. In this way, readers can be made aware that the publication abides by standards of the Code of Practice, and know where to turn if problems arise.

The adverts can be downloaded here and are ready to be used immediately:

Advert for use in newspapers

Advert for use in magazines

The Commission’s remit extends to cover newspapers’ and magazines’ online presence as well. It is important, therefore, that publications take the same steps to raise awareness of the PCC on their websites that they take in their print editions. A number of alternative adverts – based on best practice currently employed by several newspaper groups – can be found here

If you have any questions, please contact Tonia Milton on 020 7831 0022 or tonia.milton@pcc.org.uk
