Complainant Name: Clauses Noted: 1 Publication: Daily Mail Complaint: Ms Nuala O’Brien, the Director of Communications for the
West London Mental Heath Trust, complained that the newspaper had published an
article containing inaccurate references, including the suggestion that
Broadmoor hospital was a prison.
Resolution: The complaint was resolved when the
newspaper amended the online article, removing references to “prison”,
“Broadmoor hospital for the criminally insane”, “guards” and “inmates”.
