Complainant Name: Clauses Noted: 1 Publication: News of the World Complaint: Ms Heather Mills complained that a columnist had referred to inaccurate allegations that she was expecting to live on Necker Island for free in order to get away from Britain. She made clear that such claims were untrue. Resolution: The complaint was resolved when the newspaper,
which said that the columnist was commenting on stories in the public domain,
removed the article from its website and apologised to the complainant.
