Complaint:

A woman from Essex complained that an article which claimed that Jade Goody’s home was for sale – including interior photographs – was inaccurate and misleading. In fact, it was the complainant’s neighbouring property which was for sale.

Resolution:

The complaint was resolved when the newspaper published the following correction and apology:

On April 19 we published a story that Jade Goody’s house was for sale. However, the internal pictures used in the article were of a neighbouring property that is for sale and not Jade’s. The aerial picture used shows the complete housing development of 3 properties, the middle terraced property belonging to Jade. The property actually for sale which we incorrectly described as being Jade’s is a much larger and enhanced property within the same development. We apologise for this error.
