A man from Edinburgh complained to the Press Complaints Commission that an article had wrongly alleged that he had been struck off by the General Teaching Council after carrying out a 9 month relationship with a 15 year old pupil. He provided legal evidence that the relationship had lasted only 4 months, and that the pupil had been 16 when it began.

The matter was resolved when the PCC negotiated appropriate amendments to the online article.
