Complainant Name: Clauses Noted: 6 Publication: The Scottish Sun Complaint: John Forrester complained to the Press Complaints Commission that the newspaper had intruded into the lives of his young children by identifying them in relation to a story criticising his professional background in breach of Clause 6 (Children) of the Editors' Code of Practice. Resolution: The complaint was resolved when the newspaper immediately removed the children's names from the online article and published the following statement acknowledging the error in print: John Forrester In our article headlined ‘Fling Sir back at school', on April 29, we named the children of ex-teacher John Forrester. Their details should not have been in the report and we apologise to the Forrester family for any upset caused.
