Lisa Duller complained to the Press Complaints Commission that the newspaper had published an article which incorrectly reported the symptoms of Williams Syndrome.

The newspaper explained that it had received a number of direct complaints from readers and, prior to receiving a complaint via the PCC, it had published the following correction:

"Our picture story on Tuesday about two-year-old James Stuart, who has Williams Syndrome, wrongly described it as an illness. It is, in fact, a rare genetic disorder. Although people with the disorder are sometimes described as having 'elfin' facial features, we were wrong to suggest this meant pointed ears. However, people with Williams Syndrome often need therapy and a fundraising page has been created at WWW.justgiving.com/Martin-Stuart"

The complaint was resolved on that basis.
