Complainant Name: Clauses Noted: 3, 10 Publication: The Sun Complaint: Miss Emma Carr complained to the Press Complaints Commission that the newspaper had published an article reporting on her part-time employment which intruded into her privacy in breach of Clause 3 (Privacy) of the Editors' Code of Practice, and that the newspaper had used subterfuge to obtain the information in breach of Clause 10 (Clandestine devices and subterfuge) of the Code. Resolution: The complaint was resolved when the PCC negotiated the removal of the online article and the newspaper made an assurance that it would not re-publish the material in future.
