Miss Emma Carr complained to the Press Complaints Commission that the newspaper had published an article reporting on her part-time employment which intruded into her privacy in breach of Clause 3 (Privacy) of the Editors' Code of Practice, and that the newspaper had used subterfuge to obtain the information in breach of Clause 10 (Clandestine devices and subterfuge) of the Code.

The complaint was resolved when the PCC negotiated the removal of the online article and the newspaper made an assurance that it would not re-publish the material in future.
