Mr Damian Winstone complained to the Press Complaints Commission that the newspaper had published an article reporting on the court case of a man named Simon David Winstone whose headline misleadingly suggested he was the grandson of the boxer Howard Winstone, in breach of Clause 1 (Accuracy) of the Editors' Code of Practice.

While the newspaper did not accept a breach of the Code, the complaint was resolved when the newspaper published follow-up articles making clear that Simon David Winstone was not the grandson of Howard Winstone.
