The PCC annual review 2009 is accompanied for the first time with a podcast in which the PCC Chairman, Baroness Buscombe and Stephen Abell, Director are interviewed by the media commentator Roy Greenslade.
The annual review is all about openness and transparency, which is why we wanted to invite someone from outside the organisation to conduct the interview.
About Peta Buscombe
Baroness Buscombe took up her position as Chairman of the PCC in April 2009. She is a barrister and has acted as legal adviser and counsel to various organisations including Barclays Bank International, New York and Barclays Bank Plc, London. Most recently she was the Chief Executive of The Advertising Association.
About Stephen Abell
Stephen joined the Press Complaints Commission in 2001 having graduated in English from Emmanuel College, Cambridge. He has been Complaints Officer, Press Officer, Assistant Director and Deputy Director of the PCC. He became Director in December 2009.
About Roy Greenslade
Roy is professor of journalism at City University, and was editor of the Daily Mirror from 1990-91. He writes a daily blog on the MediaGuardian website, and writes a weekly column for the Evening Standard. He is on the board of the British Journalism Review.
